Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of director Ayan Mukerji, passed away at the age of 83 on March 14 due to age-related health issues. His funeral is scheduled for 4 pm today at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai.
Mukherjee was known for films like Karate (1983), Kaminey (2009), and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992). He belonged to the prestigious Mukherjee-Samarth family, which has been part of the Hindi film industry since the 1930s.
Prominent celebrities like Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Hrithik Roshan, and Deepika Padukone are expected to attend the funeral.
