Mumbai Police has arrested Vijay Das, aka Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra residence. The suspect, believed to be an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant, allegedly entered Saif’s home and attacked him during an altercation.
The actor sustained multiple stab wounds, including a severe injury to his thoracic spine, and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. Following successful surgery, Saif is stable, walking, and likely to be discharged soon.
Police have linked the accused to several aliases, and he faces charges under the Passport Act. The investigation continues to uncover further details about the attack and the suspect’s background.
