Gadag: A social audit program was organized at Alagilawad School in Shirahatti Taluk as per the directives of the Director of Social Audit Directorate, Bengaluru, and the Deputy Director of the Department of School Education, Gadag. The social audit process, set to run from 15/07/2024 to 28/02/2025, will take place across 202 schools in Gadag district. The main aim of the program is to improve the effectiveness of schools and enhance educational quality.
The four-day program, held from 16/12/2024 to 19/12/2024, was chaired by Mallikarjuna Patil, Assistant Executive Engineer of the Rural Water and Sanitation Department, and coordinated by Manager Tawareppa Lamani. During the program, officials assessed the school’s infrastructure, children’s learning quality, and the progress of ongoing educational schemes. They also visited children’s homes to engage with parents.
On 19/12/2024, a meeting with children’s parents and local representatives was conducted. In the session, Tawareppa Lamani expressed appreciation for the school’s discipline and facilities, highlighting the school’s positive impact on children’s educational development. Mallikarjuna Patil emphasized that this initiative is a step towards enhancing educational progress and supporting the government’s policies. Principal Halese Jakkali noted that the program is a crucial factor in the holistic development of children. Village Panchayat Member Premayya Balihallimath assured efforts to ensure the school receives necessary infrastructure.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Mallikarjuna Patil, Tawareppa Lamani, Mariyappa Doddamani (SDMC President), Premayya Balihallimath (Panchayat Member), Srikant Patil (Community Resource Person), Halese Jakkali (Principal), teachers, parents, and students, making the program a success.
