During his visit, he engaged with the Indian diaspora, visited the newly built Ayurvedic Garden at the State House, and held discussions with President Dharambeer Gokhool on strengthening bilateral ties in trade, education, and maritime security. PM Modi was also conferred with the prestigious Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean, Mauritius’ highest civilian honour, recognizing his contributions to enhancing India-Mauritius relations.
