On Makar Sankranti, over 35 million devotees, including saints and Kalpvasis, took a holy dip at Sangam in Prayagraj during the Maha Kumbh 2025. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath extended his greetings and lauded the efforts of Akharas, the Maha Kumbh Mela administration, and volunteers.
The first Amrit Snan was marked by rose petal showers from helicopters, creating a divine atmosphere with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Har Har Mahadev.”

- Maghi Purnima: Feb 12
- Maha Shivaratri: Feb 26
The grand event, expected to host over 450 million devotees, continues until February 26.
